MIL-C-48605A (AR)
g. Set CLUTTER switch to ON position; LOCK ON indicator
shall not illuminate.
h. Increase (higher number on dial) CLUTTER LEVEL control
setting until LOCK ON indicator is illuminated. Note CLUTTER LEVEL
dial reading.
i. Decrease (lower number on dial) CLUTTER LEVEL setting by
10.0. LOCK ON indicator shall not be illuminated after an
approximate 3 second delay.
j. Repeat steps h and i, above, until repeatability occurs
in step h within 1.0 dB.
Record CLUTTER LEVEL dial reading. This is the clutter
k.
power.
l. Determine the AGC threshold by the following
calculation:
AGC Threshold = MDS (4.7.3.17.2f) - Clutter power (4.7.3.17.5k)
m. Decrease (lower number on dial) CLUTTER LEVEL control
setting by 10 and record dial reading. The LOCK ON indicator shall
not be illuminated after an approximate 3 second delay.
n. Decrease TARGET LEVEL control setting until LOCK ON
indicator illuminates. Record TARGET LEVEL dial reading.
o. Repeat steps m and n in 10 dB increments. The last
increment may be less than 10. (Record each increment.)
p. Determine AGC Linearity by the following calculation:
(step m) - (step n) = Incremental AGC Linearity.
4.7.3.17.6 Ranqe rate reference (+) and range rate reference
(-) measurements.
Set FUNCTION SELECT switch to RANGE RATE REF (+)
a.
position.
Record reading indicated on digital display (DVM).
b.
set FUNCTION SELECT switch to RANGE RATE REF (-)
c.
position.
d.
Record reading indicated on digital display (DVM).
4.7.4 Environmental Stress Screeninq (ESS). The control
assembly shall be tested as specified in 4.7.3 after each screening
procedure for compliance with 3.6.
