s. Remove the spectrum analyzer and connect a diode
detetor RF amplifier, and oscilloscope.
t. With the FREQ SELECT switch in the 9.299 position
measure and record the target signal output with the TARGET FREEZE
and TARGET switch ocmbinations per 3.5.18k and Table XI.
u. Remove the RF amplifier and diode detector and
oscilloscope from cable W5.
v. Connect cable W5 to the control assembly SELF TEST port.
w. Place the CLUTTER switch in the ON position, the TARGET
switch in the OFF position.
x. Place the control assembly in the Pulse condition.
y. Adjust the CLUTTER BALANCE attenuator until the digital
display (DVM) indicates the value per 3.5.16 step 1. (a) (RF self
test calibration value).
z. Place the CLUTTER LEVEL dial at 25 and the TARGET LEVEL
dial at 27 with CLUTTER switch ON and TARGET switch OFF.
aa. Record the digital display (DVM) indication.
ab. Place the CLUTTER switch in the OFF position and the
TARGET switch in the ON position.
ac. Adjust the TARGET BALANCE attenuator until the digital
display (DVM) indicates the value recorded in step z. above. The
digital display shall indicate per 3.5.17 step 1.
ad. Disconnect cable W5 from the SELF TEST port and connect
a spectrum analyzer to the open end of cable W5.
ae. Place the control assembly in the CW condition. Set
the CLUTTER LEVEL dial at 27. Turn the TARGET and CLUTTER switches
to ON. Measure and record the difference between the TARGET and
CLUTTER signal levels per 3.5.17m.
af. Turn the TARGET switch to OFF. Measure and record the
change in CLUTTER signal per 3.5.17n.
ag. Set the TARGET LEVEL dial at 27 and the TARGET switch
to ON.
ah. Measure and record the change in target signal (CW)
when the RFL LEVEL dial is increased by an increment of 5 from its
internal RF power calibration reference dial setting per 3.5.17o.
