h. Vary the PHASE CONTROL knob from one extreme
(counterclockwise) position to the other extreme (clockwise)
position.
i. Record the digital display (DVM) indications at each
extreme position per 3.5.15d.
j. Repeat steps d through i above for all positions of the
FREQ SELECT switch.
4.7.3.14 Clutter signal characteristics.
a.
Perform the initial conditions per 4.7.3.1.
b.
Perform RF power calibration per 3.5.16a and 3.5.16b as
required.
c. Connect a spectrum analyzer and waveguide variable
attenuator to the open end of cable W5.
d.
Set the CLUTTER LEVEL dial to 5.
e. Set the CLUTTER BALANCE attenuator to a minimum
(completely counter clockwise).
f. Measure and record the clutter signal per 3.5.16f for
all positions of the FREQ SELECT switch.
Set the CLUTTER LEVEL dial to 20.

h.
Place the CLUTTER switch to ON position.
i.
Adjust the CLUTTER BALANCE attenuator per 3.5.16g.
j. Measure and record the clutter signal per 3.5.16g for
all positions of the FREQ SELECT switch.
k. Measure and record the harmonically related clutter
power per 3.5.16h for all positions of the FREQ SELECT switch.
l. Measure and record the spurious related clutter power
per 3.5.16i for all positions of the FREQ SELECT switch.
m.
Set the RF LEVEL dial to 15.
n.
Set the FREQ SELECT switch to the 9.205 position.
o.
Set the CLUTTER LEVEL dial to 5.
p. Measure and record the clutter signal level versus the
CLUTTER LEVEL dial reading in dial increments of 10 per 3.5.16j
and Table IX.
