MIL-C-48605A (AR)
Place the control assembly in the Pulse condition.
ai.
aj. Measure and record the pulse spectrum per 3.5.17p for
all positions of the FREQ SELECT switch.
4.7.3.16 Calibration data.
a.
Perform the initial conditions per 4.7.3.1.
b.
Place the FUNCTION SELECT switch in the RF INPUT
position.
c.
Connect cable W5 to the RADAR port.
d. Inject an RF peak power as specified in 3.5.18.1a having
a frequency of 9,229 ± 1 MHz into the open end of cable W5.
e. Adjust the RF LEVEL attenuator until the digital display
(DVM) indicates +2.500 ± 0.020.
f. Determine the RF INPUT calibration number by subtracting
the RF LEVEL attenuator dial setting from the RF peak power input.
The value shall be within the requirements of 3.5.18.1b.
Record RF INPUT calibration data per 3.5.18.1c.
g.
Place the FUNCTION SELECT switch in the RF SELF TEST
h.
position.
i. Inject into the control assembly SELF TEST port an RF
peak power having characteristics as specified in 3.5.18.2a at a
frequency of 9,229 ± 1 MHz.
j. The digital display (DVM) shall indicate a value between
+1.000 and +2.500 per 3.5.18.2b.
k. Record the value (step j, above), as the RF self test
calibration data per 3.5.19.2c.
l. Place the MODE SELECT switch in the SELF TEST position
and the FREQ SELECT switch in the 9.229 position.
m.
place the control assembly in the Pulse condition.
Place the RANGE SELECT switch in the R1 position.
n.
o. Connect a detector and an RF amplifier to the CAL OUT
port and connect video end of detector through a coaxial T to CH A
START on counter. Connect the other arm of the coaxial T to CH A of
oscilloscope. Ensure oscilloscope is DC COUPLED.
